Coverage questions
Will I have coverage in the Sahara desert?
Yes — Merzouga and the main Erg Chebbi dune areas have 4G LTE coverage. Very remote off-road areas may drop to 3G or lose signal, which is normal for all carriers globally.
What about in the medinas (old cities)?
All major medinas — Marrakech, Fès, Meknès, and others — have solid 4G LTE coverage. Building density can affect indoor signal strength, as with any carrier.
Does it work on highways and between cities?
Yes. The main intercity routes (A1, A3, A7 etc.) all have continuous 4G coverage. Road trip connectivity between Morocco's major cities is reliable.
Can I use data on the train?
Yes. The ONCF rail network connecting major cities (Casablanca, Rabat, Fès, Marrakech, Tangier) passes through areas with strong 4G coverage throughout most of the journey.
